Golf Competition
In collaboration with Eric Lillibridge and the other professionals at Casa de Campo golf, many of our pupils have attended an after-school golf club at the Teeth of the Dog Driving Range in Casa de Campo. There were two age categories with 8 years old and below on a Tuesday and Thursday from 5 to 6pm and 9 to 15 years old on a Wednesday between 4:30 and 6pm. As many as forty different pupils from ALS have attended throughout the year. These sessions are supported by several teachers from the school, as well as the professional golf instructors of Casa de Campo. The pupils have enjoyed a mix of working on their game at the new practice range and playing holes on the various golf courses at Casa de Campo. As well as coaching the pupils on the technical aspects of golf they have learned about etiquette and other transferable life skills in an enjoyable and supportive environment.
As part of their membership with the golf club our pupils are welcome to play the Lagos holes in Dye Fore free of charge when accompanied by an adult. All ALS pupils can also use the practice range at Casa de Campo free of charge. With the opening of the new golf learning centre at the Teeth of the Dog Range the pupils are excited to develop their golf in the new academic year.
